Philosophy

A Summary of Our Witnessing Philosophy

We rely on the power of God’s Word to convert
rather than on logical arguments. ( 1 Corinthians 1:18-25)

We stand firm on God’s truth but try to be flexible
(becoming all things to all men – 1 Corinthians 9:19-23)
One prominent application of this principle is always attempting
to speak to Mormons in "their own language".

We view Mormons with love and compassion.
We see them not just as adherents of Mormonism,
but more importantly; as its victims.

We strive to understand and always remember
the great stress Mormonism places on its adherents.

We focus on addressing the problems Mormonism causes Mormons
rather than the problems Christians have with Mormonism.
We are especially mindful of their obsession with perfection.

We strive to witness Christ rather than debate Mormonism.
We want to stress the positives of Christianity
rather than the negatives of Mormonism.

We strive to avoid majoring on minors.
Our goal is to tenaciously share God’s Law and Gospel.

We focus on current LDS teaching,
especially as it is presented in official publications,
rather than focusing on LDS history.
